Hilarious Interview of Kerala CM at the India Today Conclave

Here’s a funny interview clip of the Kerala CM at the India Today Conclave.

Interviewer: Now we know why you are considered one of the most progressive CMs in India. (I literally burst out laughing at this point, reminded of the sad state of affairs in Kerala. The CM himself looks surprised.)

Interviewer: …you have taken innovative steps to develop the state for the future, particularly in infrastructure… (At this point, I am shocked beyond repair, fully aware of how pathetic Kerala’s roads and other infrastructure are.)

Interviewer: What about attracting mega investments? What are you doing to prevent brain drain?

And here comes the icing. Pinarayi Vijayan is shuffling through papers of ready-made answers. He looks like a student trying to find the answer from cheat sheets in an exam hall. And he finds the answer sheet eventually and starts reading out the answer. His answer is even more hilarious.

He begins with Kerala’s geography, explaining that the state has a coastline on one side and mountains on the other… blah… blah. Then, after reading out the pre-prepared answers, he smiles at the interviewer as though he has done a great job reading them out in English.
